Meet Our Neighbors
Please meet a few of our special neighbors. They moved from the Dominican Republic 2 years ago to provide better schooling for Elizabeth (age 8) and Johan (age 7) and for employment opportunities for Maria and Avelino. Maria is a nurses aid and Avelino is an auto mechanic. Elizabeth and Johan are avid members of our after school and summer Kids' Club.
Maria joins us for adult education classes in our CESP program. She likes the fact that her children attend our Kids' Club because "they treat the kids well, and teach them manners and values." Maria feels that the English words she has learned through the Gray House CESP program have helped her a lot - "little words go a long way"!
Everyone at the Gray House is grateful to have such special neighbors.
